Michele Benjamin Jewelry Design Announces Restock of Bee Jewelry at Whitney Museum Shop

Nov. 4, 2022. EZ Newswire

Michele Benjamin Jewelry Design, the home of activist and jewelry designer Michele Benjamin's artistic creations, today announced the return of her Bee Pins and Necklaces at Whitney Museum Shop in New York City. Benjamin's popular bee jewelry had been sold out, but due to popular demand, they are now fully restocked.

The Bee jewelry symbolizes the legacy of the Whitney Museum of American Art, and the extended Whitney family who was the museum's namesake. "(The Whitney Museum is) a home for artists and art lovers," said Benjamin in an interview with QNS. "The real beehive, located on the rooftop of the Whitney, produces "Flora" honey, which ‘sweetens’ the art world and our daily lives."

Benjamin first began selling her unique Bee jewelry at the Whitney Museum in 2015. Ever since, the designs have been consistently popular among Whitney staff, volunteers, docents, members, and other visitors who frequent the Whitney. She even has a fan in Susan Sarandon, who was photographed wearing one of Benjamin's Bee necklaces on the Thelma and Louise 30th Anniversary Reunion red carpet in 2021.

Bee jewelry can be purchased in the Whitney Museum of American Art, located at 99 Gansevoort Street in New York City. The Museum is open from 10:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday to Monday, Wednesdays to Thursday, and Saturday, as well as from 10:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. on Friday. The Museum is closed on Tuesday.
